Oliver! (2019) – Central Memorial High School

An English musical, with music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. After running away from the orphanage run by the heartless Mr. Bumble, Oliver meets the Artful Dodger and is recruited to pick pockets for Fagin.

Avenue Q (2019) – Front Row Centre Players

This laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighbourhood. Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

Treasure Island (2017) – Central Memorial High School

When Jim Hawkins finds the map to a legendary treasure, he embarks on a perilous voyage to claim it. His journey leads him to uncover a pirate mutiny, a chance meeting with an isolated misfit, and ultimately discover what kind of person he wants to be. Robert Louis Stevenson’s beloved coming-of-age adventure story is given a bold new stage adaptation by Governor General’s Award-winning playwright Nicolas Billon.
